$695 Family Law Services – Divorce Misconception

The divorce process in California is revered as a difficult and drawn out procedure where the parties, and minor children, have to suffer major sacrifices and disruptions in their life. Even though this is the case for some contested cases, the majority of divorce cases in California process very quickly and without any court appearances whatsoever. The truth is there are options available for people who want to make it through the California divorce process quickly, without going to court, all while being able to make their own orders. The Law Offices of Donald E. Glass has exclusively devoted their resources to assisting people in this exact situation.

Benefits of Our Service

  • A Court Appearance IS NOT Required!

The court does not require the parties to appear in court at all when the case is uncontested, “by agreement”. The final Judgment (Agreement) serves as the court appearance.

  • You Can Make Your Own Orders.

Since you do not appear in court, the court will allow you to make your own orders for the issues of the case such as custody, visitation, child and spousal support as well as asset and debt division.

  • A $695.00 FLat Fee, No Surprise Costs.

By agreeing to the terms yourself, the process is streamlined. There are no surprises in the process resulting in no additional costs to you. As long as you’re by agreement, we only charge $695.

The Problem With The California Divorce

divorce attorney menifee

The divorce process in California has unfortunately developed into a commercial industry rather than a process to assist people with a traumatic experience in their life. Many people are unable to reach an agreement to enter the process amicably due to many misconceptions about the process. Some people either want to fight tooth and nail for every aspect of the case, or some people just don’t know there are options available to get through the process quickly. As a result, divorce and family law attorneys were able to come in and make substantial amounts of money contesting cases and sometimes dragging them on for years. In recent times, it is not uncommon to hear that people have spent tens of thousands of dollars, and years in court fighting over assets valued at far less than the total price of the fees they are incurring. At the end of some cases, the only thing that the parties are left with are large bills for attorney’s fees. This growing dilemma in the industry has created a huge need for an affordable attorney option for the divorce process.

We are the Solution for Your Uncontested Cases

The Law Offices of Donald E. Glass is dedicated to one aspect of Family Law, Uncontested Divorce. We work with clients to get them from initial filing, to final orders with a low flat fee, not having to appear  in court and importantly, having full control of the orders made in their divorce judgments.  The First Step is to complete the Contact Form below.

Start to finish, our office handles it all. We prepare the initial petition documents, file them, serve them, work with you for the final divorce agreement and then submit the Judgment with your agreement to the court. All you have to do is sit back and wait for the court to sign your divorce judgment.

Understanding the process in crucial to making it though the process. Many people want to know, and all should know, what typically happens in a courtroom experience. We share the way the court views cases and makes orders so that you understand what would happen if your case was contested.  This usually clears up most misconceptions about the divorce process.

The common family law attorney has a standard retainer fee that can vary, but are typically between $2500-$4500. This fee is required up front. Because many divorce attorneys work contested cases they still require this fee even if you plan an uncontested case. Our team only handles uncontested cases so we know exactly what services will be provided and the cost incurred and that’s why we offer a FLAT FEE of $1095, Period!

The solution we provide is simple. Our office is here to assist people who want to get through the divorce process by agreement. We handle all aspects of the divorce process from start to finish for our clients. We prepare the documents to open the case, we file the documents at the court and then serve the other party. After the court required 30 day period from serve, we obtain the aspects of your divorce agreement and have them worked into your final judgment. Once both parties sign, we process the judgment to the court. Most of our clients only have to visit our office 3 times and they typically receive their final divorce judgment from the court within about 3-4 months from the day they started the process.

Meet The Attorney & Legal Team

After graduating from High School, Don attended Whittier College, CA, where he received his BA in Business Administration.  Thereafter he attended Southern California College of Law, CA, where he received his Juris Doctor (JD) and admission to the California State Bar in 1990.

He began practicing as a sole practitioner but soon joined the law firms of Berger Kahn and Gray & Prouty as an associate attorney in the insurance defense departments, representing major insurance carriers in California.  There he assisted in civil litigation, trials, trial prep, depositions and civil procedure matters.  Don has successfully tried and won jury and court trials for his clients in civil litigation matters.

During this same period, Don was also licensed as a California Real Estate Broker, BRE, involving transactions in trust deed investments, foreclosures, 1031 exchanges and rehab sales. Don also served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Mental Health Association of Orange County (MHA) where he helped to create fund raising events and advocacy.

Don created $1095 flat fee with $695 to start program of services at AttorneyPreparedDivorceForms after recognizing that most people who filed for divorce cannot afford the cost of a full service attorney but need attorney help to prepare the numerous family law forms.  Included in the service, Don prepares a custom drafted Marital Settlement Proposal that helps couples reach an amicable marital settlement of all issues.   Thereafter, when all issues are resolved, Don prepares the final Marital Settlement Agreement which is filed with the court.  As you can see, the law firm’s flat fee service fills the need for low cost divorce attorney services.
